My client a leading association within the health sector is currently looking for a Head of Education and Development.

The Role

The Association is seeking to appoint an outstanding individual as their first Head of Education and Development.

This is an opportunity to be at the helm of the association’s education and professional development portfolio, spanning conferences and training.

A person with vision, strong business acumen, and the ability to see and grasp new opportunities, you will work with the CEO, the Board, Special Interest Groups and membership to innovate and develop new products and services that meet the changing needs of our members and drive forward the agenda.

Joining at an exciting time for the association, the post-holder will have the opportunity to input into a strategic review and to shape their department and role for the future.

They will ensure the continued integrity and credibility of the association’s extensive education and training offering, playing a leading role in equipping our world-class workforce to build, adapt to and influence change at a national and global level.

Experience managing multiple projects/programmes

Experience organising/overseeing education/training/CPD or other relevant interventions

Experience developing successful income generating products and/or services

Proven experience in delivering innovative new approaches, including in e-learning

Experience developing and leading an effective team

Experience working with and managing external contractors effectively

Work effectively with key stakeholders - optimising expertise of others

Understanding of education/training/CPD interventions and how they add value in a professional membership

Strong financial and business acumen

Ability to support and get the best from staff and contractors

Understanding of the medical sector, and how CPD and lifelong learning can contribute to the knowledge and skills of medical professionals is desirable but not essential
