About us

The Lucky PigCocktail Bar is a popular, vibrant, award-winning cocktail bar also known as a destination music venue. We specialise in quality classic and unique signature cocktails and our well-renowned masterclasses have been voted the best in London.

We run a condensed menu of delicious sharing plates, nibbles and artisan pizzas. As well as an extensive canapés menu for more formal events.

We are passionate about cocktails, live music and exceptional customer service.

The Role

You will be an experienced General Manager, able to fully immerse yourself in our brand and product offering. As well as running operations effectively and developing individuals, you will be a hands-on manager, expected to and be able to completely support your team, using your previous skills and experience to guide and motivate them.

You will also be a key member of the bar team working to exceed expectations, inspiring your colleagues with your knowledge, skills and passion for exceptional drinks and great customer service.

Working closely with the Operations Director and Bar Manager you will:

  • Expertly manage and motivate the bar and service staff.
  • Be ultimately responsible for ALL operating costs.
  • Guide and help the Bar Manager with recruitment, training and staff scheduling.
  • Be responsible for undertaking the operational tasks required for the smooth daily running of the bar such as bar set-up and break-down.
  • Mix and deliver premium cocktails to the highest standard, ensuring exceptional and consistent drinks are delivered to guests.
  • Work collaboratively with the other team members to deliver exceptional standards of service.
  • Uphold industry workplace best practices such as Food and Beverage / Health and Safety.

Essential for the role:

  • Have significant previous Cocktail Bar experience at General Manager level.
  • Have an excellent understanding of classic and modern cocktails, a strong working knowledge of the spirits industry and a keen awareness of trends and wider events in the drinks business.
  • Have excellent bartending skills, an eye for detail and the ability to innovate.
  • Have experience designing new, high quality, unique cocktails.
  • Be confident, capable and creative, with passion and commitment to delivering consistently excellent drinks in a vibrant environment.
  • Have natural hospitality skills, energy, enthusiasm and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Have a good working understanding of the finances related to the bar industry, specifically around cash-up.
  • Have a proven track record for managing operating costs effectively and maintaining a strong GP.
  • Have the ability to be fast and efficient whilst maintaining a first-class standard of drinks.
  • Significant General Manager experience within the hospitality industry.
  • Bar license essential, the General Manager will be the licensee.
  • Excellent word and excel skills.
  • Maintain high standards of personal presentation and have fluent spoken and written English.
  • Be eligible to work in the UK or have a valid UK work permit/visa.
