Graduate Teaching Assistant | Location: Greenwich, SE5 | Hours: Full-time, Term-time | Payrate: £95-£105 per day | Start Date: ASAP
We are currently seeking Graduate Teaching Assistants who are eager to gain valuable experience in a Key Stage 1 (KS1) and Key Stage 2 (KS2) school setting before pursuing teacher training. This is an ideal opportunity to launch your career in education, providing firsthand experience in classroom and school environments. You will play a vital role in creating a safe and nurturing space for students to thrive, collaborating with educators and the school community.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support pupils across KS1 and KS2 with diverse learning needs in various settings, including whole class, small groups, and one-to-one support.
- Help maintain and promote high academic and behavioural expectations.
- Mentor and coach students, building their confidence and helping them aspire for future success.
- Work cooperatively with all staff to ensure every pupil reaches their potential.
- Lead and support learning activities, developing the skills to eventually teach whole classes.
Requirements:
- Hold an undergraduate degree (2:2 or above preferred).
- Candidates must provide two references and possess an Enhanced DBS Certificate.
- A committed and enthusiastic approach to working with young people.
- Ability to stay calm and positive in challenging situations.
- Experience in KS1 and KS2 settings is beneficial but not required.
