A fantastic opportunity has arisen within a globally renowned Entertainment organisation for an experienced finance individual to join the Talent/Client Payments team. This busy and close knit team are responsible for calculating and paying revenue earnt by talent (incl Actors, Producers, Writers, Directors) involved in productions made and/or sold by this global organisation.
This is a busy and varied role within an employer of choice, who are known for bringing many much-loved programmes to audiences around the world. The company is a leader in the creation, production and distribution of multi-genre formats across TV & Film.
To be a successful candidate you will ideally have previous accounts experience gained within the Media/Entertainment/TV/Film or talent management industry. You will be highly organised, a great communicator and want to work in a fast paced environment.
Responsibilities of the role include:
- Calculate payments due to talent for their contribution of productions made by in-house labels or third party companies
- Ensure payments are made inline with industry union agreements and to exploitation agreements
- Set up payments for authorisation
- Ensure contracts are set up on the system, with up to date and accurate information, maintaining these records accordingly
- Maintain talent/artist/agent records & contracts on the system
- Liaise internally and externally to resolve any talent payment queries
- Assist with system and process improvements
Candidate specification:
- Previous finance/ accounts experience, ideally gained within artist/client/talent payments within the entertainment industry
- Highly numerate, great attention to detail and deadline orientation
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of working in Production or TV/Film/Music finance would be beneficial
- Logical, proactive and self motivated
- Able to interpret talent contracts and union agreements
- Highly organised and able to prioritise
