I am excited to support a well-established Multi-Academy Trust in their search for a Head of Human Resources to join their team for a 1-year fixed-term contract, covering maternity leave. This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key leadership role within a dynamic education environment.

About the Role:As the Head of HR, you will report directly to the CEO and oversee the HR function across 9 academies located in London, Hertfordshire, and Bedfordshire. You'll be responsible for managing and developing a team of 3 HR professionals and will also contribute as a member of the Executive Team, participating in Senior Leadership Team (SLT) meetings. During this contract, you will lead a key project to implement a new HR and Payroll system across the MAT, adding significant value to the organisation's HR processes.

Location & Flexibility:This role offers a flexible working arrangement, with an expectation to work from one of the MAT's offices an average of 3 days per week.

What We're Looking For:

  • Proven experience working within a Multi-Academy Trust or the education sector
  • Experience in project management, specifically in the implementation of new HR and payroll systems across multiple sites
  • Strong background in strategic HR leadership and managing HR teams within a complex, multi-location environment
  • Demonstrable expertise in employee relations, handling complex cases with confidence
  • A track record of delivering successful HR management in dynamic, fast-paced settings
