Junior Payroll Manager - London

Salary: Circa 45,000 (DOE)

A 4* Hotel are looking for a Junior Payroll Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of a busy payroll department, ensuring smooth processes, compliance with deadlines and high standards of accuracy. The role will also involve supporting financial reconciliations, assisting with audits and acting as a point of escalation for payroll queries across multiple sites.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the administration and reconciliation of monthly payroll, including costing journals for finance teams.
  • Oversee payroll data input, ensuring accuracy and timely processing.
  • Act as a contact point for escalated queries and liaise with payroll providers and third parties.
  • Ensure compliance with pension auto-enrolment requirements and manage healthcare schemes.
  • Support year-end processes, including PAYE reconciliation, P60 generation and PSA administration.
  • Assist in training and developing payroll team members for continuous improvement.

What You'll Need:

  • Strong understanding of payroll legislation, statutory payments and pensions.
  • Advanced Excel skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism.
  • Strong payroll experience, ideally in a multi-site environment, with a relevant qualification.
  • Ideally CIPP qualified and experience using ADP
