Role Overview:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Commodities Human Resources Specialist to join our team. This role combines traditional HR functions with an in-depth understanding of the commodities trading environment. You will act as a strategic partner to leadership, ensuring the firm attracts, retains, and nurtures top talent while fostering a supportive, high-performance culture.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Talent Acquisition & Management

    • Develop and execute recruitment strategies to attract top-tier commodities and broking professionals.
    • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, offers, and onboarding.
    • Build strong relationships with hiring managers to identify talent needs and ensure alignment with business goals.
  2. Employee Engagement & Development

    • Design and implement professional development programs tailored to the needs of commodities professionals.
    • Foster a culture of feedback and continuous improvement through performance reviews and career progression planning.
    • Lead employee engagement initiatives to promote retention and job satisfaction.
  3. Compensation & Benefits Management

    • Benchmark industry standards to ensure competitive compensation packages.
    • Manage payroll, benefits, and rewards systems to align with company policies and market expectations.
  4. HR Compliance & Policy Management

    • Ensure compliance with all local and international labor laws and regulations.
    • Maintain and update HR policies, ensuring they meet legal standards and reflect company values.
  5. Strategic HR Initiatives

    • Collaborate with senior management to align HR strategies with overall business objectives.
    • Lead diversity, equity, and inclusion initiatives to build a welcoming and inclusive workplace.
    • Drive change management efforts to adapt to the fast-paced commodities trading environment.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 2 years of HR experience, with at least 1 year in the commodities or financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of the broking or commodities trading environment, including its challenges and opportunities.
  • Proven track record in talent acquisition, employee engagement, and strategic HR planning.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Familiarity with HR software and tools.
