HR AdvisorBased in BatterseaSalary £25,000 - £32,000 per annum

Hybrid working pattern - 4 days in office initially

Fantastic opportunity for an HR Advisor or HR Administrator seeking the next step! CIPD qualifications are desirable but not essential as support can be provided for further training and qualifications. The ideal candidate will be an HR Administrator who enjoys working as part of a small tight knit team, who possesses a positive attitude and can do flexible approach to work.

Key Responsibilities

  • To provide expert support, guidance and advice to Employees and Managers on all aspects of employment related matters
  • Be the guardian of employment data and information held on the team
  • Improve on current practices and utilise the HR database
  • Champion HR and foster a happy & healthy work environment

HR Administration

  • Manage the paperwork flow during the employment cycle
  • Maintain employee data to ensure the information is complete and accurate
  • Work alongside the Payroll Manager to ensure people are paid correctly and on time
  • Support local staff in Europe with HR administration related activities
  • Support the HR team with ad hoc projects
  • Review and update HR policies

Reward

  • First point of contact for the benefit providers and third party suppliers
  • Ownership of the monthly invoicing and annual benefit renewal procedures
  • Share knowledge and information with other Group companies
  • Work alongside the HR Director on the annual salary and bonus review

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Supporting Managers on recruitment and selection strategies
  • Advertise vacant roles via Linkedin, interviewing candidates
  • Coordinate the induction for new employees and carry out the HR induction
  • Support the line manager during the probationary review period

Learning & Development

  • Investigate training needs and propose suitable cost-effective training solutions
  • Manager and promote the effective use of LinkedIn Learning
  • Support Managers and employees through the Performance Management cycle including objective setting and reviews

Engagement

  • Organise the annual social events, e.g. Summer Party, Christmas Party
  • Support HR Director with Annual Employee Engagement Survey
  • Initiate other employee engagement activities / services

Employee Relations

  • As the first point of contact to respond to any employee queries
  • Support Managers with any Employee Relation issues, from informal advice to managing Disciplinary, Grievances or Performance issues

Person Specification

  • HR Generalist experience is essential
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent administrative skills
  • Good time management and self-organisational skills with an ability to multi-task and work to deadlines
  • High degree of integrity and confidentiality
  • High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
  • A good working knowledge of MS Excel
  • Ability to work effectively in both a team environment and unsupervised with a degree of flexibility towards working hours and tasks assigned
  • Proactive, positive attitude to work, able to use initiative and act with independence and integrity
  • CIPD qualified is desirable or interested in or commenced studying for a relevant HR qualification
  • Working knowledge of more than one relevant HR system
  • Experience of liaising confidently and effectively at all levels within an organisation
  • Live within an easily commutable distance from the Battersea area
