Our client, a specialist Domestic Violence charity, is looking to recruit a HR Officer to join their team until the end of June, with the possibility of extension. You'll work closely with the Head of HR and Director of People & Culture, playing a key role in recruitment and ensuring their new HR system (SafeHR) is properly set up for accurate data and reporting.
Synopsis of duties:
- Implementation of New HR System: Oversee the seamless transition of data and files from SafeHR to HiBob, ensuring accuracy and completeness during the transfer. Provide comprehensive training for the HR team to effectively use the new system.
- Rollout of Updated Contracts: Coordinate the distribution of new contracts to all employees, ensuring that any variations in previous contracts are clearly identified and honoured.
- Review and Update of Job Descriptions: Conduct a thorough review and update of all existing job descriptions to ensure they accurately reflect current roles, responsibilities, and organisational needs.
- Completion of Outstanding Policies: Drive the completion and finalisation of any outstanding HR policies, ensuring they are up-to-date and in alignment with current practices and compliance standards.
Essential Requirements:
- Proven experience in implementing HR systems, including data migration, file transfers, and system configuration.
- Familiarity with SafeHR and/or HiBob.
- Strong organisational and project management skills to meet deadlines and manage multiple workstreams.
- Meticulous in handling data transfers and ensuring accurate, compliant contracts with any variations honoured.
- Excellent communication skills for liaising with employees and delivering system training to the HR team.
- Comprehensive understanding of UK employment law, particularly around contracts and policies.
- Experience drafting, updating, and rolling out HR policies and job descriptions.
- Skilled in managing sensitive employee data and adhering to GDPR regulations.
- Preferably CIPD Level 5 qualified.
- Experience in short-term, project-based roles.
- Proactive problem solver with a collaborative approach.
- Self-starter, adaptable, and quick to learn new systems or processes.
