Reed HR are currently working alongside a Not for Profit Organisation based in South East London who are recruiting for a HR Generalist on a potential temp to perm basis.
This role is hybrid, so working from home is offered as well as working from the office.
Job Purpose
To contribute towards the delivery of an HR Coaching & Advice service by providing HR advice and day-to-day support for Managers across all aspects of HR in a timely, accurate, and confidential manner.
Duties & Responsibilities
1. Manage own employee relations caseload including sickness, disciplinary, and grievances, providing advice and guidance to managers as necessary including working with trade unions.
2. Support managers during investigations and hearings, taking notes, report writing, and outcome letters, as necessary.
3. Support managers in resolving sickness absence cases promptly.
4. Support the Head of HR Manager and HR team with HR projects, processes, and procedures.
5. To support the lead manager in any Change Management consultations.
6. Contribute to and lead on sourcing or providing direct training.
7. To support the admin team in the completion of DBS applications and conduct required meetings with relevant employees regarding any concerns.
8. Support in the processing of leavers, new starters, and any other contractual variations within the set deadlines.
9. Draft, compose, and distribute correspondence, including management reports, outcome letters, offer letters, contracts of employment, and any other ad hoc letters.
10.Maintain and update electronic HR information databases, document workflows, and keep trackers/records up to date.
11. Consult with payroll teams to inform them of any contractual variations within the set deadlines, escalating issues to the HR Manager where necessary.
12.To be aware and keep up to date with employment law, understand and update/develop upon the Company’s human resources policies to ensure the Company operates within employment legislation whilst meeting its business objectives.
13.Act as a point of contact for the HR team, answering phone calls and taking messages, as necessary.
14. Participate in team meetings, events, and training, as necessary.
15. Escalate issues to the HR Manager promptly when necessary.
16.To assist in all recruitment administration and new joiner processes from offer letters and employment checks through to joining instructions and induction
17. Undertake any other work appropriate to the level and general nature of the duties of the post.
18. Perform all duties with due regard to the provisions of Health, Safety and Well-being regulations and legislation, Data protection legislation, the Companies equal opportunities and customer care policies and any local agreements.
