IT Business Analyst

This is a 2-month contract working for an amazing charity. You can be based remotely but will need to attend their offices in London (NW1) if required. It would be ideal if a candidate is located within the M25 region. Our client is creating a new asset to be launched in Spring 2025, and they have identified a need to analyse and document the existing business processes from both an operational and IT perspective and assist with the mapping, simplification and

Your role:

* Evaluate business processes, anticipate requirements, uncover areas for improvement, and develop and implement solutions.* Leading ongoing reviews of business processes and developing optimization strategies.* Conducting meetings and presentations to share ideas and findings.* Performing requirements analysis.* Documenting and communicating the results of your efforts.* Gathering critical information from meetings with various stakeholders and producing useful reports.* Gather and interpret requirements from the business.* Participate in the solution design process.* Analyse and decompose relevant business processes.* Analyse and document business requirements to support future state operating models.* Use data modelling techniques to analyse findings and create recommendations for performance improvements, including benefits maps.* Identify and recommend changes to Business Processes, selling benefits to senior management and stakeholders, including benefits realisation plans.* Facilitate communication between project and business stakeholders, IT engineers and third-party providers. * Create product/service specifications from 'to be' processors.* Carry out privacy impact assessments as part of project implementations.* Ensure that change control is aligned with operational requirements.

The Person:

* Experience of modelling techniques/notations such as BPML, BPMN, UML, Use Cases, Entity models, Data and Information Models, Process Models/Swim Lane diagrams* Experience of working with employees at all levels of an organisation* Degree, or equivalent, in an appropriate subject* ISEB Diploma in Business Analysis, Certified Business Analysis Professional, Chartered IT Professional or CEng registration* Business Process Modelling/Engineering based on BPMN* Data modelling based on Entity Diagram Mapping.* An understanding of the Business Change Life Cycle.* An understanding of System Development Life Cycle (Waterfall, Agile)* Commitment to providing consistently high-quality services* Excellent communication skills, with the ability to talk to and present to a range of audiences, sometimes acting as a translator between parties* A passion for creating solutions with a positive attitude to business change* Excellent analytical skills and an informed, evidence-based approach* Full driving license and access to a vehicle to use for business travel
