About us
My client are seeking an experienced Oracle EBS Payroll Specialist to join their team who provide a wide range of information and technology related services to the higher education sector. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Oracle EBS Payroll and have at least 4 years’ experience working as part of a cross-functional Agile product team to design, develop and improve software that meets user needs and improves their experience.
About the role
This role is specifically based around the Oracle eBusiness Suite HCM modules: Core HR, Payroll, HRSS, Learning Management, Compensation & Benefits Management etc.
This role will be responsible for writing and maintaining clean, secure code and software configuration, adopting a test-driven approach, and ensuring software is easy for others to reuse.
You will be working closely with EBS functional subject matter experts within the team and would be expected to liaise with wider ISD colleagues in Platforms, Database and Network domains. You will also participate in knowledge transfers and peer review sessions within the team, as well as show and tells and design playbacks to the wider business community.
You must be able to easily work within a team and liaise effectively with customers to identify potential improvements and formulate solution options
About you
With a firm knowledge of the software development lifecycle, you will have experience of application software design and development, including significant knowledge of Oracle eBusiness Suite, preferably at any point release of R12. You should have knowledge of ITIL support processes including release management, the ability to supervise other technical staff if necessary, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly to colleagues at all levels. You should have the ability to work in a team, sharing relevant knowledge and experience.
Mandatory skills focus on Oracle RDBMS, including familiarity with EBS R12, PL/SQL and SQL (high level). Advantage would be given to candidates with a good hands-on technical understanding in of any of the following: Oracle Workflow, AME, UMX, Oracle Application Framework (OAF), Application Development Framework (ADF), BI Publisher, Web services (REST in particular), Internet SOA Gateway (ISG) and Oracle Forms. Familiarity with Agile working practices (Scrum/SAFe Framework) and tools (JIRA) would also be beneficial.
