Field Support Engineer

Bench IT are looking to onboard a Field Support Engineer to assist in ongoing managed support service as well as assist in installation activity at our other customer sites.
Our primary support residence in central London in the city which will be approx. 50% of the role however, field installation activity can be within the M25 therefore, is essential that the successful engineer has a valid driving license and is happy to travel.
The successful candidate should have the skills and experience included below;
- Previous experience working as a Technical Support Engineer
- Previous experience working in a Field Engineering role is desirable but not essential
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Good knowledge of a service management tool. ServiceNow would be an advantage
- ITIL Foundation qualified
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Initiative, willingness to seek and achieve improvements to processes and technology
- Capable of providing white glove VIP support
- Confidence in resolving issues that require physical presence, such as hardware installations or network configurations
- Instructing users through a series of actions, either via phone, email or chat
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Proficient with Operating Systems (Windows 11 / Windows Server)
- Basic Server & Networking installation experience
- Microsoft 365: Outlook, OneDrive, Teams, SharePoint & Integrated Apps
- Active Directory Users & Computers
- Citrix: XenApp 7.x & Workspace/Receiver
- Laptop / Desktop builds and management
- Zoom
- Mimecast
- iPhone configuration & management
- Audio Visual management
