As a shift based Technical Support Engineer, you will provide first and second-level support, ensuring the quick recovery of Network, Mobile, IoT, and customer services during disruptions. You will collaborate with vendors, carriers, mobile operators, and third parties to deliver technical solutions and maintain customer satisfaction.

Description

  • Manage IoT and network service alerts, along with customer fault reports via various channels.
  • Update ticketing systems and documentation, collaborating with third-party vendors, mobile operators, and internal resources to resolve technical issues.
  • Escalate critical issues and customer inquiries to On-Call Support/Line Managers.
  • Perform on-site troubleshooting and routine tasks like system administration, reporting, and tape changes.
  • Attend customer meetings, generate ad-hoc reports, and assist remote engineers with service tests.
  • Participate in a 24/7 maintenance rota, travel for business-related tasks, and provide technical support, designs, and proposals.
  • Update the ITOC database and communicate with vendors and customers on change requests and maintenance.
  • Complete ad-hoc tasks as assigned.

Profile

  • Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to work a 4-day on, 4-day off shift pattern and outside standard hours when needed.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio) and skilled in maintaining and installing network infrastructure, security systems, servers, and virtualization technologies.
  • Experienced in troubleshooting networks and PC/servers across all OSI 7 layers.
  • Holds CCNP/CCNA, JNCIP certifications (preferable).
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Capable of investigating and resolving inquiries and willing to take on ad-hoc tasks as required.
  • Knowledgeable in information security responsibilities.
