The Company
My client is a London-based financial services company specialising in currency management and payment solutions for international institutions and corporates. They offer FX execution, hedging strategies, and alternative transaction banking services through both voice broking and online platforms, providing a personalised, client-led approach to managing currency risk and facilitating global payments.
The Role
- Provide first and second-line technical support to end-users via phone, email, and in person, ensuring timely and effective resolution of IT issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues including desktops, laptops, printers, and mobile devices.
- Diagnose and resolve software problems related to operating systems (Windows), productivity suites (Microsoft Office 365), and business-critical applications.
- Provide support for network connectivity issues (LAN, WLAN, VPN).
- Manage user accounts and access permissions within Active Directory and other relevant systems.
- Assist with the setup and configuration of new hardware and software.
- Maintain accurate records of support requests, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions within the IT ticketing system.
- Follow established IT procedures and contribute to the development of knowledge base articles and documentation.
- Escalate complex issues to third-line support or external vendors, ensuring clear and concise information is provided.
- Assist with basic server administration tasks under guidance (e.g., password resets, file permissions).
- Contribute to IT projects and initiatives as required.
- Maintain a high level of customer service and communication with end-users.
- Ensure compliance with company IT policies and security procedures.
Your Profile
To apply for this role you will have at least two and a half years experience in an IT Support capacity. You will have worked in Financial Services and be used to a fast paced environment. Excellent communications skills are essential as you will be one of the faces of IT across the UK business. You will be comfortable with working in an office 5 days a week and will be happy to get your hands dirty.
