Role Overview- Position: Design Technology (DT) Technician
- Pay: £14-£16 per hour
- Hours: 8:15 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
- Location: Waltham Forest, North London

Key ResponsibilitiesAs a DT Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Design Technology department, including:
- Lesson Preparation: Assisting teachers in setting up materials and equipment for practical lessons.
- Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring tools, machinery, and workshop areas are safe, organised, and fully operational.
- Student Support: Providing hands-on technical assistance during student projects and activities.
- Stock Management: Monitoring inventory and coordinating the ordering of supplies.
- Collaboration: Working closely with teaching staff to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences.
The ideal candidate will bring:
- Experience: Previous experience as a DT Technician or in a related field, such as engineering, design, or art.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with CAD and 3D printing systems, and experience working with materials like wood, metal, and polymers.
- Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safely maintaining and using DT tools and machinery.
- Organisational Abilities: Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Passion for Design: A commitment to inspiring creativity and innovation in students.
- A degree in a design-related field or relevant work experience.
- An enhanced DBS disclosure and professional references.
- A detailed CV covering the last 10 years of employment, if applicable.
