• Position: Design Technology (DT) Technician
• Pay: £14-£16 per hour
• Hours: 8:15 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
• Location: Waltham Forest, North London

As a DT Technician, you'll play a vital role in supporting the Design Technology department, including:

• Lesson Preparation: Assisting teachers in setting up materials and equipment for practical lessons.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensuring tools, machinery, and workshop areas are safe, organised, and fully operational.
• Student Support: Providing hands-on technical assistance during student projects and activities.
• Stock Management: Monitoring inventory and coordinating the ordering of supplies.
• Collaboration: Working closely with teaching staff to create engaging, hands-on learning experiences.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Experience: Previous experience as a DT Technician or in a related field, such as engineering, design, or art.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency with CAD and 3D printing systems, and experience working with materials like wood, metal, and polymers.
• Safety Knowledge: Strong understanding of safely maintaining and using DT tools and machinery.
• Organisational Abilities: Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Passion for Design: A commitment to inspiring creativity and innovation in students.

• A degree in a design-related field or relevant work experience.
• An enhanced DBS disclosure and professional references.
• A detailed CV covering the last 10 years of employment, if applicable.
• Legal right to work in the UK.
