• Position: Design Technology (DT) Technician
• Pay: £15 per hour
• Hours: 8:15 am - 4:00 pm, Monday to Friday
• Location: Waltham Forest, North London

As a DT Technician, your role will be essential in ensuring the smooth operation of the Design Technology department. Key duties include:

• Assisting teachers in preparing materials and setting up for practical lessons.
• Maintaining workshop tools, equipment, and machinery to ensure safety and organisation.
• Providing hands-on technical support to students during design and project activities.
• Managing stock levels and ordering supplies when necessary.
• Collaborating with teaching staff to create engaging and practical learning experiences.

The ideal candidate will bring:

• Experience in a school as a DT Technician
• Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and 3D printing systems.
• Experience working with materials such as wood, metal, and polymers.
• A strong understanding of maintaining and safely using DT tools and machinery.
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• A passion for Design Technology and a commitment to inspiring students' creativity.

• A degree in a design-related field or relevant work experience.
• An enhanced DBS disclosure and professional references.
• A detailed CV covering the last 10 years of employment, where applicable.
