**Senior Service Designer** (Contract)

Duration: 6 Months (Possibility for extension)

Role Profile

Our client, a leading player in the banking industry, is on the lookout for a passionate and seasoned Senior Service Designer to join their vibrant team. This role is an incredible opportunity to collaborate with diverse talents, shape customer experiences, and advocate for innovative design methods throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a team of skilled designers, researchers, and strategists to enhance all areas of the organisation.
  • Excel in service design, including needs definition, journey mapping, blueprinting, and storytelling.
  • Facilitate engaging workshops with internal stakeholders, untangling complexities to ensure that business needs and risks are thoroughly understood.
  • Communicate effectively with colleagues, managing expectations, and incorporating a range of perspectives when defining impact-driven solutions.
  • Research current service experiences, document findings, and articulate proposals for future improvements with clarity and insight.
  • Lead design discussions that keep the user perspective at the forefront, challenging existing constraints and driving innovative solutions.
  • Nurture growth in others through active coaching and mentoring, creating a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate seamlessly with product owners, engineers, and fellow designers to bring exceptional experiences to life.
  • Be a proactive member of the design community, sharing knowledge, ideas, and best practises across product, service, and customer journeys.

Skills & Experience:

  • Highly motivated and proactive, with a drive to achieve both individual and collective goals.
  • Skilled at building relationships, utilising empathy to uncover opportunities, and engaging effectively with senior audiences.
  • Calm and resilient under pressure, adept at recognising emerging risks and responding to changing priorities with agility.
  • Innovative problem solvers, inspiring others to join them in the design journey while welcoming diverse input.
  • Exceptional communicators, capable of conveying ideas and implications to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Experienced in research methods that inform strategic design decisions and possess expertise in design thinking methodology.
