Job Title: Billing & Collections Analyst / French Speaking

Location: Paris

Summary: Ryder Reid Legal is recruiting for a Billing & Collections Analyst to join one of our leading, global law firm clients on a permanent basis to support their Paris and Brussels offices. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a French/US law firm, ensuring compliance with firm guidelines and local regulations. Our client is looking for a driven professional with excellent problem-solving abilities and strong verbal and written communication skills. This role requires someone ambitious and proactive to take full ownership of WIP and AR.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the monthly billing and collection cycle.
  • Achieve aging targets and lock-up period reduction goals.
  • Monitor all phases of the inventory cycle.
  • Process write-offs and time transfers as per firm policy.
  • Verify billing accuracy and support documentation.
  • Respond to billing inquiries and resolve issues.
  • Create and distribute monthly billing reports.
  • Collaborate with partners and Accounts Manager to deliver results.
  • Organize and attend monthly meetings with partners.
  • Input vendor invoices into Chrome River.
  • Assist with special projects and provide cover for accounting staff as needed.

Skills Required:

  • Project management for complex billing needs.
  • High standard of work under pressure.
  • Confident and effective communication.
  • Ability to manage and prioritize workload to meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of local rules, EU VAT, AML, and engagement letters.
  • Experience with billing in foreign currency.
  • Strong analytical and numeracy skills.
  • Proficiency in budget management.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Aderant Expert knowledge is a plus.
