Our client, a highly regarded London-based solicitors specialising in crime, family law and human rights have an opening for a Billing Coordinator to join their team.

Responsibilities

  • You will be working within a team of 8 responsible the following: -
  • Billing and submitting Legal Help (controlled work) files to the LAA.
  • Preparing ECF bills for Inquests.
  • Organising the files to go out to the cost drafters following the workflow in proclaim and updating the spreadsheet accordingly on a daily basis. Sending approved bills for Service.
  • Checking Bills of Costs.
  • Drafting Schedules of Costs to strict deadlines.
  • Payment of disbursements on IP matters.
  • Preparing reports.
  • Drafting Claim 2s.
  • Dealing with abandoned claims for Clinical Negligence Team.
  • Working closely with team members and assisting with any other tasks and ad hoc duties as well as providing cover when necessary.

Candidate Profile

  • Good communication skills, both orally and written, and willingness to provide advice to fee earners of all levels on matters concerning billing
  • Excellent ability to manage time and work in a busy environment
  • Basic to intermediate knowledge of Excel and Word
  • Excellent attention to detail
