Our client a Membership Body - Financial Services is looking for a Communications Executive.

The Role of Communications Executive

Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager. Create marketing materials, social media and website content that, as appropriate, effectively engages policymakers, regulators, stakeholders, members, industry audiences and the informed public. Design, produce, edit and promote digital content, including monthly Bulletin, website, podcasts and video. Work collaboratively with colleagues, external partners, members and sponsors to promote and amplify events and insight reports and data, maximising registration and readership.

Person Specification

Relevant experience and/or educated to degree level, preferably in areas related to marketing, communications, political science, and creative subjects. Training in digital communications strongly desired. Minimum one year experience in a communications role. Experience creating digital content, with an emphasis on content for email marketing, LinkedIn, websites and YouTube. Comfortable in liaising with a wide range of stakeholders, including CEO and Director level business leaders, government officials, comms and marketing teams and external suppliers. Experience of working within a membership organisation and/or corporate/investment environment and/or in relevant government roles would be an asset. Comfortable working in a corporate office as well as a virtual/remote environment, with some travel to events and external meetings. International work experience is desirable but not essential. Audio and video editing skills, with ability to use tools such as Podbean, Squadcast and Final Cut to a working proficiency. Basic graphic design skills, with ability to use tools such as Canva. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Zoom is essential. A general understanding of corporate environments, with a passion for marketing and communications A general understanding of governments, regulation, the infrastructure industry, finance and/or investment is an asset, and enthusiasm to learn is essential. Project management skills and certifications would be an asset.
