Join my client as a Portfolio Management Specialist and play a pivotal role in helping to drive their underwriting strategy, aligning it with business goals and risk appetite. You'll bridge the gap between underwriting and actuarial teams, ensuring the portfolio thrives in both the short and long term.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Portfolio Management: Implement and maintain a suite of portfolio management tools (WTW Radar, Power BI) to visualise and monitor performance, identifying risks and opportunities.
  • Data-Driven Insights: Conduct deep-dive analyses to uncover trends and inform strategic decisions, influencing stakeholders to drive continuous improvement.
  • Strategic Support: Provide critical input on underwriting, risk management, and disaster scenario modeling, ensuring the portfolio aligns with the risk appetite.
  • KPI Monitoring: Track and report key performance indicators for senior management and capital providers.
  • Culture Building: Foster a data-driven culture, driving the adoption of analytics tools across teams.

Who We're Looking For:

  • A curious, analytical thinker with a passion for data-driven decision-making. You thrive in fast-paced environments and enjoy solving complex problems to optimize portfolio performance.

Essential Skills:

  • Proficiency in Excel and data visualisation tools (PowerBI, Tableau, Qliksense).
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
  • Excellent communication and data storytelling skills.

Desirable Skills:

  • Programming knowledge (Python, R, SQL).
  • Familiarity with WTW Radar.
  • Experience in predictive analytics and data governance.

Experience:

  • 2+ years in portfolio management, pricing, underwriting, or related analytical roles in the insurance sector.
  • Familiarity with the London insurance market

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, actuarial science, data science, or related field.
  • Professional qualifications (Actuarial, CFA, Data Science, etc.) are a plus.
