About the Role:

An established legal team is seeking an experienced Employment Lawyer to join its Corporate Employment department. The team is renowned for providing high-quality advice on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters to a diverse range of clients, including senior executives, entrepreneurs, investment professionals, and private business owners across sectors like financial services, technology, sports, and family offices. This role will be instrumental in expanding the Employment practice and enhancing its market presence.

Responsibilities:

The role involves managing a varied caseload of employment law matters with a focus on client-facing, strategic, and pragmatic solutions. Key duties include:

Managing cases autonomously with support as neededDrafting and negotiating a range of employment documents, including service agreements and settlement agreementsProviding risk-based, commercial employment advice on issues like employment contracts, grievances, dismissals, High Court and tribunal disputes, TUPE, redundancy, and moreCollaborating with international legal teams on multi-jurisdictional mattersLeading business development initiatives to grow the Employment practice

Skills and Experience

Ideal candidates will have:

At least 6 years of relevant PQEExperience handling both contentious and non-contentious employment mattersStrong client management skills and the ability to provide practical, commercial adviceExcellent drafting skills and the ability to handle multiple files efficientlyA proactive approach to business development and client serviceStrong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across departmentsExcellent academic background
