The Supplier Manager is responsible for overseeing relationships with external resource suppliers to ensure the organisation receives high-quality talent and services. This role involves managing supplier performance, contract negotiations, compliance, and strategic supplier partnerships to support business objectives. The ideal candidate has strong vendor management skills, excellent negotiation abilities, and experience in managing third-party workforce suppliers. We are a relatively small team with a big remit and large expectations. This role is suitable for someone who likes to role up their sleeves and work within a team to get the job done to a high standard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with our global third-party resource suppliers, ensuring alignment with business needs
  • Oversee supplier performance, monitoring KPIs, SLAs, and compliance standards
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, and terms to ensure cost-effective and high-quality service delivery
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand the upcoming demand for third party resource
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, legal requirements, and industry regulations
  • Identify risks related to supplier performance and develop mitigation strategies
  • Work with finance and procurement teams to track budgets, optimise costs, and improve supplier efficiency

Essential:

  • Proven experience in supplier management, vendor relations, or procurement within a resource-driven organisation
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  • Experience working with third-party staffing agencies, consulting firms, or outsourcing partners
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Desired:

  • Knowledge of workforce regulations and compliance requirements related to third-party staffing
  • Familiarity with contract law and risk management principles related to supplier agreements
