My client is a reputable and leading FM organisation, with over twenty-five years of experience in the maintenance industry. With a head office in Central London, many of the properties and premises they service are in a short walking distance of the office.

They are looking for a Lead Engineer to join the M&E Division of their Property Services Department, providing a multi-skilled maintenance service, and to supervise and lead a team of engineers and contractors.

Duties will include but not limited to:

  • Supervise and lead a team of engineers and contractors, ensuring efficient operation and maintenance of building systems
  • Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance tasks
  • Oversee and manage electrical & mechanical systems, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with regulations
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical and mechanical faults efficiently
  • Always maintain a high standard of safety and compliance
  • Collaborate with team members, contractors, and management to ensure smooth operation of facilities
  • Reviewing RAMs, Estimating, and ordering Materials

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Experience within a Maintenance / Facilities Management environment
  • Knowledge of Health & Safety
  • Capability to perform manual tasks, including manual handling, working at heights and in confined spaces
  • General maintenance including basic plumbing, carpentry and electrical works
  • Previous experience with Mechanical & Electrical servicing & maintenance.
  • Good customer service skills
  • City & Guilds certificate in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Previous use of handheld technology and email
