Our client is an independent, multi-disciplinary design studio which specialises in storytelling through space and materiality.

The Role
Organised and proactive, the Studio Manager ensures the smooth running of the dynamic studio.
The primary objective is to maintain efficient day-to-day running, provide logistical support to the creative team, and manage key responsibilities, e.g., facilities management, vendor relationships, and HR administration.
Key Duties
Studio Support:
- Develop and implement efficient processes and systems to optimise studio workflows and improve productivity.
- Coordinate vendors and suppliers to ensure timely, cost-effective deliveries that meet operational needs.
- Provide project administration support, including managing project/job numbers, timesheet administration, budgeting, proposals, and client contracts.
- Organise and facilitate operations meetings to ensure alignment and effective communication across teams.
- Offer general support and front-of-house assistance, working collaboratively with other team members to maintain a professional and welcoming studio environment.
- Collaborate with third-party providers to oversee IT support, ensuring all technology tools are fit for purpose and support the studio’s workflows effectively.
- Oversee daily studio operations, including resource allocation and providing project support to ensure smooth delivery of work.
- Manage health and safety compliance, including risk assessments, fire safety, and first-aid provisions, ensuring a safe and compliant workplace.
Facilities and Vendor Management:
- Coordinate with the landlord and service providers to ensure timely maintenance of essential services, including HVAC, electrical systems, and cleaning, to maintain an efficient and safe working environment.
- Negotiate and manage supplier contracts, ensuring optimal value, service quality, and alignment with budgetary goals.
- Ensure full compliance with health and safety regulations, conducting and overseeing risk assessments to mitigate potential hazards.
Leadership Team Support:
- Provide comprehensive administrative support to ensure the success of weekly leadership meetings and periodic off-sites, including scheduling, preparation of materials, and follow-ups.
- Manage efficient administration processes, including record-keeping, meeting minutes, and action tracking to support organisational priorities.
- Assist with business development activities, such as maintaining and updating company credentials and proof-reading client presentations to ensure high-quality client pitches.
- Collaborate on and contribute to special projects as needed, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with organisational goals.
Skills and Qualifications
- Five years or more admin experience
