The Department:The Company Secretarial Department is a very busy area of the firm which deals with a large number of clients.
The work of the department covers a wide spectrum of work from routine confirmation statements and accounts approval minutes to share buybacks, capital reductions and restructuring. The department works closely with other departments within the firm providing company law and secretarial advice on a wide variety of matters.
The Role:
We require an administration assistant to join the Company Secretarial department on an initial 6 month contract to assist with archiving and administration projects.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The core focus of the role is to assist with an archiving project, including recalling archived boxes, working through them and dealing with the material as appropriate. Additionally, the administration assistant will also carry out the following duties:
- Dealing with incoming post
- Sending documents to Companies House
- Managing the 3 Company Secretarial email mailboxes within the department
- Assisting with other administrative duties as required
We would expect the successful candidate to be able to demonstrate the following skills:
- Good communication skills
- Be a team player
- Good IT skills, including a good level of competency with Microsoft packages. The successful candidate should be confident to learn other software where appropriate.
- Attention to detail
- Be well organised and demonstrate good time management
- Have the ability to multitask
Previous experience in an administrative role would be useful but is not essential.
