Overview

We are still actively looking for an enthusiastic Assistant Design Manager / Design coordinator to work in the Design Management team on a Super High End Luxury Hotel refurbishment. This is an exciting opportunity to work on one of the finest hotels in the world.

Responsibilities

They are looking for a candidate who comes from a contractor background who can undertake the following tasks:-

  • Read drawings
  • Extract information from technical documents to create schedules with relevant details
  • Assist in preparing Contractor's Proposals with moderate support.
  • Familiar with technical assessment of contractor design and proposals.
  • Familiar with preparing trackers and schedules relating the to the development of a design
  • Willing to support the Design Manager in the running of meetings and taking and distribution of technical minutes.

Candidate

  • 2 years experience working with a contractor working on design and build contracts
  • Ideally holding a degree in architecture, design/project management, structural engineering, or civil engineering
  • Capacity to be based in London in the project office on a full time basis.
  • Aware of the responsibilities that fall to a Main Contractor in working on Design and Build
  • We need someone who can read drawings, extract information from technical documents to create schedules with relevant details, and assist in preparing Contractor's Proposals with moderate support.
