Are you an experienced Facilities Manager or MEP Manager with FM background? Looking to join a highly regarded mechanical / electrical contractor with operations and offices across the United Kingdom.

We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced M&E Facilities Manager to join their office in central London. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all facilities and engineers, ensuring efficient day-to-day operations and maintaining a steady pipeline of work. The ideal candidate will have a trade background or Mechanical / Electrical Engineering background and a minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in facilities management.

Responsibilities:

Oversee and manage all mechanical facilities and engineers, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to quality standards.

Maintain a proactive approach to project planning and execution, ensuring work is completed on time and within budget.

Collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure effective communication and successful project delivery.

Develop and implement maintenance programs to optimize the lifespan and performance of mechanical systems and equipment.

Conduct regular inspections to identify areas for improvement, troubleshoot issues, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.

Manage and allocate resources effectively, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to meet project requirements.

Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement among the facilities and engineering teams.

Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in mechanical facilities management, recommending innovative solutions and technologies.

Prepare and present regular reports on project status, performance metrics, and financial aspects to senior management.

Qualifications and Skills:

A trade background in a mechanical or electrical discipline is essential.

Minimum of 5 - 10 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in the mechanical sector.

Strong technical knowledge of mechanical or electrical systems, equipment, and maintenance practices.

Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop teams.

Exceptional organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.

Proven track record in successfully managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Knowledge of health and safety regulations and a commitment to ensuring compliance.
