Ackerman Pierce are looking to recruit a Transformation Programme Manager with the Social Care industry in Westminster. The vacancy will be for an initial 3-6 months with potential for extension subject to internal circumstance and your performance.

YOU WILL NEED LOCAL AUTHORITY EXPERIENCE FOR THIS ROLE

Responsibilities include:

The role combines programme management and digital transformation expertise, requiring a proactive individual capable of driving the programme from concept to delivery. While there are no formal line management responsibilities, the successful candidate will provide matrix management to project managers working on the programme.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the Planning Horizons programme, delivering digital solutions to improve the efficiency of the Planning Service.
  • Manage the programme lifecycle from initial concept and design to successful delivery.
  • Work closely with stakeholders across the council, ensuring collaborative working practices.
  • Provide matrix management to project managers within the programme, offering guidance and oversight.
  • Overcome previous challenges in initiating this work by bringing fresh insights and strategies.

What We Are Looking For:

  • We are looking for an exceptional candidate with the following skills and experience:
  • Programme and Project Management: Proven expertise in managing complex programmes and projects, with a focus on delivering tangible outcomes in a timely manner.
  • Digital Transformation Experience: Demonstrated success in leading digital transformation initiatives, combining technical and soft skills to rethink and redesign service delivery.
  • Adaptability and Proactivity: Ability to take ownership of the programme, address challenges, and drive progress with urgency and precision.

Experience preferred:

  • Post qualifying experience of working as a Transformation Lead within the UK.
  • Local Authority Experience is required

The Team:

  • Well-structured organised team, growing their social worker staffing levels.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 5 years' post qualifying experience within UK Social Care industry
  • Managerial experience
  • Enhanced DBS (we can obtain for you)
  • Eligibility to work in the UK
