What You Will Do:

  • Assist in expanding commercial programs and expert witness projects within the UK, focusing on engine or vehicle testing, analysis, and reporting.
  • Plan and supervise testing activities, including vehicle emissions, fuel economy testing, and large field trials.
  • Conduct technical literature reviews, prepare client reports, and present findings in a professional manner.
  • Lead or assist in projects related to engine and emissions calibration, utilising advanced testing equipment and analysis techniques.
  • Build a knowledge base on emission control systems, alternative powertrains, and fuels, applying critical thinking to complex client questions.
  • Use project management skills to deploy resources effectively, ensuring projects stay on budget and staff maintain high utilisation.

What You Will Bring:

  • A B.Sc. or M.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
  • Approximately 5 years of relevant experience in the field of powertrain development engineering, preferably with automotive OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers.
  • Hands-on experience in setting up data acquisition and hardware control systems, including proficiency in running and maintaining advanced test equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to perform advanced engineering analysis of complex datasets.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interface and communicate with clients in a knowledgeable and professional manner.
