Mechanical Engineer London Data Centre

We are currently partnering with a bespoke Fire, Security and IT Solutions design, installation and support provider operation on Major Construction and Mission Critical projects across Europe. Due to continued success, they are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join them on a Data Centre Project in London.

Responsibilities

Design Review & Coordination Reviews mechanical designs for HVAC, cooling systems, and fire suppression, ensuring alignment with project requirements and industry standards.

Installation Supervision Oversees the installation of mechanical systems, ensuring quality workmanship, adherence to specifications, and integration with electrical and structural components.

Testing & Commissioning Ensures proper testing, balancing, and commissioning of critical mechanical systems, such as chilled water and CRAC (Computer Room Air Conditioning) units, to guarantee optimal performance.

Compliance & Quality Assurance Ensures all mechanical works comply with data centre standards (e.g., ASHRAE, Uptime Institute guidelines) and relevant safety regulations.

Technical Support & Problem-Solving Provides on-site technical expertise, troubleshooting system issues, and proposing engineering solutions to maintain project progress.

Requirements

Must have relevant degree or equivalent trades background

Must have 3+ years experience in a similar role on large scale construction projects

Data Centre experience is advantageous

£80,000-£85,000 per annum + Benefits
