Plumbing Department Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to join a family-owned builders’ merchant as they open a new Tottenham store in April 2025. They are looking for a Plumbing Department Manager to play a crucial role in supporting the day-to-day operations of the plumbing department. You will work closely with the Branch Manager to ensure the efficient functioning of the department and provide exceptional customer service.
Requirements:
- Working 48.5 hours per week, shifts between 6am-5pm Monday-Friday, and alternate weekends.
- Knowledge of plumbing materials and trends
- Experience handling trade quotes is essential
- Good interpersonal skills, confident and able to engage with customers.
- The ability to prioritise responsibilities under pressure and be self-motivated.
- Excellent sales and marketing skills
- Ability to manage people and delegate effectively.

Responsibilities:
- Running the day-to-day operations on a busy plumbing counter.
- Address customer inquiries, resolve issues, produce trade quotes and provide expert advice.
- Drive the team to enhance sales.
- Delegate effectively and manage the rest of the team.
- Ensure all deliveries are processed quickly and efficiently.
- Assist in placing orders and ensuring stock availability.
- Liaise with other departments to ensure overall efficiency and increased customer satisfaction.
- Maintain an organised and visually appealing plumbing department.
