A listed energy business is recruiting for a Group Reporting and Planning Analyst on a 12 month contract, with high likelihood of extension given the volume of project and transformation led activity within the business. This is a highly visible role where the successful candidate will embed themselves within the group finance function, whilst having a focus on reporting, consolidations and FP&A.

As the Group Reporting and Planning Analyst, you will be:

  • Responsible for the monthly group consolidations and reporting to the Group Controller, assisting in Board reporting
  • Responsible for the planning and analysis cycle for one commercial entity, with a focus on quarterly forecasting and commercial performance
  • Consolidating results from the wider group
  • Delivering technical expertise across reporting under IFRS
  • Inputting in to the quarterly and annual reporting process to external stakeholders and markets

The ideal candidate will:

  • ACA/CA qualified from a big 6 accounting practice
  • Have at least 2 years post-qualified experience within reporting and technical finance roles
  • Able to demonstrate strong experience with technical accounting under IFRS
  • Have worked in energy, mining, natural resources, construction or manufacturing, essentially with a background in capital intensive businesses
  • Able to communicate at all levels of a matrix structure business and have a background in international organisations
  • Be able to do some minor travel to Europe
