Are you passionate about safeguarding the environment and ensuring public safety? Our client, a renowned London Borough, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Public Protection Officer to join their team. What will you be doing?

  • Investigating complaints related to environmental protection and statutory nuisance.
  • Taking charge of areas such as noise/acoustics, statutory nuisance, air quality, and contaminated land.
  • Providing valuable input on licensing and planning applications.
  • Carrying out appropriate enforcement actions and responding to nuisance complaints.
  • Serving notices as necessary and supporting court proceedings.
  • Managing a diverse enforcement caseload effectively.
  • Conducting monitoring visits, with occasional unsociable hours (subject to manger approval).
  • Balancing in-office and remote work, with site visits as required.

What do you need?

  • Full driver's licence, own vehicle, and business insurance (mandatory).
  • Registered Environmental Health Practitioner or relevant professional qualification (desirable).
