The Bentley is looking for a Night Manager to join our amazing team

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - 4 on 3 off shift pattern

To assist the FOH Manager in leading an effective service team including recruitment, training and development, supervision and performance management in order to ensure clients satisfaction.

To audit guest ledger charges from all departments and balances on control sheets, verifying that guest ledger balances upon closing the day from control figures and ascertains that the total of all guest ledger folios are in agreement.

To also report on individual departments revenue activity, including complimentary postings.

To inspect the all public areas and ensure that we are ready for visiting guests.

To maintain high visibility during peak service times to ensure smooth operation, promotion of good public relations, and responsive action to guest issues.

To manage the department branded stationary and material, ensuring orders are placed in good time and stock levels are kept to an acceptable level.

To assist with the reservations process when required and ensure that all reservations are put into the system.

To ensure that all Hotel promotional material displayed is up to date and accurate.

To oversee the cashing up procedure and reconciliation of takings.

To ensure any complaints are reported to the General Manager for his/her information.

To check in and check out guests, ensuring the correct procedures are followed.

To maximise hotel revenue by controlling room inventory, group blocking packages, up selling and reinforcing the late charge policy to maximise REVPAR.

To oversee the equipment front and back office area, ensuring that any faults are reported immediately and are in working order promptly.

To liaise closely withHousekeepingregarding room availability and set up.

To carry out any reasonable request by the General Manager or Directors of the Company.

To deputise for the Front Office Manager when required.

To assist with other Hotels or affiliated business if required.

To be fully aware of all food and beverage offerings including the restaurant, bar and room service.

To be fully aware of all current promotions, internet offers or marketing and sales incentives for rooms division.

To deal with over bookings in a satisfactory manner, ensuring all guests are accommodated alternatively.

To do a full handover to the day team, reporting all issues.

General Responsibilities

To be fully aware, competent in and follow at all times:

-Hotel fire procedures

-Hotel security procedures

-Hotel health & safety policy and procedures

-Hotel facilities and opportunities to promote these to customers

-Short and long term Hotel sales and marketing promotions

-Customer service standards

-Company and Hotel performance and conduct guidelines, policies andprocedures

-To attend all fire, heath and safety, training as requested.

To work in a safe manner at all times, to ensure personal safety and the safety of colleagues and visitors to the hotel and report anything that may jeopardise safety to your Manager upon discovery including the actions of fellow colleagues.

To report for duty on time and on the days roistered.

To be familiar with and work to the stated standards both as an individual and a member of the Hotel team to achieve theHotel Mission Statement.

Essential
  • At least 2 years experience in a 4/5 star hotel
  • Excellent command over the English language.
  • Positive attitude.
  • Customer service focus
  • Good computer Skills
Desirable
  • Front office Experience
  • Working Knowledge of Opera
