As a Community Chemotherapy Nurse, your responsibilities will include:
- Administering IV and oral chemotherapy treatments
- Conducting blood tests and toxicity assessments
- Managing pump disconnections and line care
- Performing IM/SC injections
- Collaborating with a wider nursing team while working independently
- Staying updated with new technologies and therapies
The Agency Community Chemotherapy Nurse role offers a comprehensive package, including:
- Competitive hourly rates of circa £43-£48ph
- 45p per mile petrol expenses
- Monday to Friday hours 37.5 8.30am-5.30pm
- Guaranteed work of 6 months, potentially longer
- Visiting no more than 4 patients per day
- Full and comprehensive induction, including 2-3 weeks shadow shifts
- An active NMC Pin as a Registered RGN Nurse
- Essential experience in Oncology, Haematology, or Chemotherapy
- Skills in cannulation and venepuncture
- A valid driving licence
- A SACT Passport or equivalent qualification
