Our client, a global retail and media company, is seeking 6-months temporary cover for a Copy Editor position, within the global Payroll Communications team. The role is fully remote and offers £150.33-£178.56 / day pro rata DOE.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Enhancing payroll related content for global use, using editing skills to analyse, edit organise, and update such copy. • Improving employee self-service content using editing skills, in order to minimise employee contacts with payroll. • Ensuring all content aligns with the company’s payroll writing standards, and is clear and compassionate to the reader.• Liaising with teammates and payroll operations stakeholders to input on proposed edits, gathering approvals and problem solving through roadblocks. • Working with global partners and driving effective teamwork, communication, and collaboration across multiple groups. • Proactively propose and manage mechanisms to improve payroll content, adoption, and awareness globally. • Supporting with the initial stages of a program expansion that involves changing the content management system and centralising content ownership. • Working independently with weekly or bi-weekly team check ins.

Requirements:

• Expert level communication and writing skills. • Professional content editing experience, with a track record of minimal additional edits from managers and prolific output. • Advanced/intermediate project management skills. • Moderate knowledge of content management system design and implementation. • Advanced user of Microsoft Word, able to edit, organise, and analyse content professionally. • Demonstrable ability to consistently deliver results and manage competing priorities. • Good ability to work independently and participate in collaboration across global stakeholders.
