Part Time Accountant (12 Month FTC) | Live Entertainment Business

Harmonic are delighted to be recruiting for an exciting live entertainment company based in London. The business is scaling quickly since inception five years ago. They are backed by very established figures within the music & entertainment industry and represent a household name both in the UK and internationally.

The Business:

The company create unique events which combine theatre and live music with a fun dining experience which have gone on to be extremely popular with all demographics within the UK. As a result of this success, there are already plans for further expansion internationally. Based in an exciting and modern office space, this is a culture driven organisation that places a high emphasis on the businesses values that have been retained while the business has scaled. The role itself offers flexible working hours and hybrid working, with the team currently going into the office 3 days a week.

The Role:

Reporting directly into a fantastic Financial Controller who places a high emphasis on delivering a first class finance function, the main responsibilities will include assisting on the production of the management accounts. As the Accountant there will also be line management required of the Assistant Management Accountant, while you'll be responsible for supporting on the budgeting and forecasting process and assisting with annual year end audits.

Duties:

  • Support the annual year end audit and prepare statutory accounts for all legal entities
  • Support in weekly consolidated management accounts & KPI's.
  • Supporting the weekly & monthly Balance Sheet Reconciliations
  • Establish and develop relations with shareholders, internal and external stakeholders
  • Support the preparation of the budget and financial forecasting process
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes, increase efficiency, and improve internal controls.
  • Data Analysis leading to insights into the business
  • Mentor and develop team member
  • Other ad-hoc duties, as required

What we need to see (essential):

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified or Qualified by Experience
  • Experience within the Media, Theatre, Hospitality or Food + Beverage sector
  • Experience working across audit
