Our client is seeking a Payroll Officer to join their team on full-time, temporary basis for approximately 3 months.

The successful candidate will ideally have payroll experience from within the education sector, have knowledge of iTrent, experience of end to end payroll and running multiple payrolls.

This is a home based role, working Monday to Friday.

Payroll Officer responsibilities:

  • Support with the day-to-day delivery of payroll services for all customers across the UK
  • Provide timely advice and support to all clients on payroll queries
  • Support the onboarding of clients to the payroll platform
  • Manage and monitor own workload to ensure payroll processing deadlines and Service Level Agreements are consistently met strictly adhering to the payroll checklists
  • Consistently ensure that all queries are allocated and resolved within the current processing period
  • Maintain service standards through quality checks, identify areas of concern through monitoring of exception reports, identifying and raising concerns with Payroll Team Leader to take forward
  • Ensure all payrolls are legally compliant with all statutory requirements, and reports and files provided timely
  • Actively support the onboarding of clients to the payroll, completing file loads and necessary checks taking an active part in the project and liaising with IT Support

Skills and experience:

  • Payroll experience
  • Experience of multiple platforms particularly iTrent
  • Experience of end-to-end payroll process
  • Experience of running multiple payrolls
  • Experience of onboarding of clients to payroll platforms
