Providing Occupational Therapy for a mental health rehabilitation and recovery hospital.
Set within a safe and therapeutic environment, this is a 32-bedded locked service, supporting two different service user groups:
• Ward 1: A 16-bed ward focusing on the active rehabilitation and recovery of men with mental health issues. The emphasis is on stabilizing mental health, reducing risks, and enhancing independent living skills with the aim of reintegration into the community or supportive living.
• Ward 2: A 16-bed ward that supports men with neuro-cognitive disorders, specifically dementia and behaviors that challenge. Many have a range of physical health needs.

The post holder will be qualified and registered with the HCPC, with preferred experience in dementia and mental health care. The successful candidate will be expected to have excellent interpersonal skills for liaising with members of the multidisciplinary team, external agencies and organizations, patients, and relatives.
