Join our team as a Portfolio Planner, where you will manage the Change Portfolio, supported by the Portfolio Coordinator. This role is crucial in ensuring that changes align with the delivery of our Corporate Strategy and support service delivery across the organisation.

Day-to-Day of the Role:
  • Provide robust management information and governance oversight across a complex portfolio of technical and non-technical projects and programmes.
  • Monitor the Portfolio and hold Project and Programme teams accountable for delivery.
  • Provide assurance of the portfolio status through effective reporting and early indications of constraints and associated risks/issues in the delivery framework.
  • Ensure risks and mitigation strategies are in place to effectively manage change across the organisation.
  • Build out a 3-year plan predicting future change impact across the organisation to help proactively plan for change.
  • Ensure projects planned for delivery within the first year are fully scoped out, with clear objectives, resource planning, and budget confirmed.
  • Develop and maintain a reporting framework including resource, financial, benefits release, and sustainability to ensure accuracy and currency.
  • Provide quality assurance assessments of in-flight projects to maintain required standards and share best practices.
  • Use metrics and data to report on portfolio performance to support decision-making at both team and organisational levels.
  • Facilitate regular portfolio planning sessions with programme and project directors and managers.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Extensive experience in portfolio planning and scheduling in complex delivery organisations.
  • Holds Portfolio Management Professional (PfMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Proficient in portfolio management methodologies and Microsoft Projects.
  • Significant experience in project management, resource management and allocation, and budget management.
  • Strong knowledge of business change methodologies and their application.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and customers.
  • Demonstrable experience managing risk, issues, and dependencies within a complex programme.
