We are currently seeking an interim Programme Director (Marketing), to work with our global FMCG client Unilever, renowned for brands such as Dove, Sure, Persil, and Simple, to become an integral part of their fast-paced FMCG environment.

The position is based at Blackfriars on London's Victoria Embankment, just a short walk from Blackfriars tube. This is a full-time temporary role to run until the end of December 2025, requiring 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Compensation for this role is competitive, paying up to 105,500 per annum, pro rata, depending upon experience.

The role currently offers a mix of remote and onsite working, subject to adjustment based on business requirements.

The Growth and Marketing Office team requires strategic support and embedded agency resources on key social-first projects. This will focus on dedicated programme management of social-first demand generation transformation.

Key Accountabilities

  • Create and manage a programme project roadmap and delivery plan
  • Align programme KPIs, timelines and milestones that ensure all OKRs are met
  • Integrate stakeholders across multiple connected workstreams to accelerate progress towards social-first end state including the critical integration of content and media
  • Play a key role in the roll-out of the business-critical change management needs across regions and markets, working in partnership with the stakeholders and leads to unlock growth and accelerate change.
  • Leading stakeholder and change management, both globally and locally, driving upwards communication and close liaison with peers to ensure potential risks, opportunities and synergies are managed appropriately - and drive a sense of shared ownership of programmer delivery.
  • Identifying and implementing the appropriate operating model and processes that will make the project more effective and efficient for the global team, the markets and brand teams. Includes the identification and creation of a robust framework to facilitate the roll out and transition of the programmer.
  • Provision of specialist knowledge of media transformation expertise.
  • Provision of specialist knowledge of governance expertise.


Key Requirements

  • Proven track record of programme management in a global matrix organisation and delivering award-winning work that scales with impact. Able to demonstrate how to translate this knowledge to make Unilever an industry leader in brand creativity
  • Media and Brand experience and practitioner knowledge with prior experience leading (or close partnering) a brand/category is preferred for the role.
  • Networker who is a creative talent scout who can leverage the experts inside and outside of Unilever to land pioneering change at scale.
  • Change leader, who can co-create/co-design and scale solutions that are pioneering in nature. Proven in driving effective global programmes that land with impact and scale.
  • Strong collaborator, with ability to listen to understand business needs and to work in service of the brands' strategies and priorities.
  • Results driven, to measure the success and impact of everything they do.
