Sanderson are partnered with a leading consultancy who are seeking a Senior Procurement Manager to support on a public sector contract. This is initially a 3 months day rate contract with a competitive rate via Umbrella with expectations of 2 days per week on site in the London office.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the procurement process from supplier qualification to contract award, including post-award activities like debriefs, lessons learned, and reporting.
  • Oversee and assure procurement activities, including planning, clarifications, evaluations, negotiations, report drafting, obtaining approvals, stakeholder engagement, and bidder communications.
  • Train and brief stakeholders as needed.
  • Handle conflict of interest processes, ensure compliance with related plans, track activities, address queries, and support relevant panel activities.
  • Maintain accurate reporting, dashboards, audit trails, and organised documentation.
  • Prepare and deliver reports or submissions for governance groups or senior decision-makers.
  • Establish procurement function requirements, including policies, processes, templates, guidance, governance, and training.
  • Support organisational engagement related to procurement and commercial activities.
  • Facilitate preparation for and implementation of new procurement regulations effective February 2025.
  • Stay updated on best procurement practices, emerging advancements, and industry trends.
  • Contribute to risk management by updating the commercial risk log and supporting mitigation strategies.
