Quantity Surveyor - Social Housing Planned Maintenance - Wanstead, East London - c. £55,000 + package

 

Quantity Surveyor required to work for reputable sized social housing refurbishment contractor based in Wanstead. Long term work and clear career progression within a positive working environment. Example responsibilities below.

 

  • Cost Estimation & Budget Control – Prepare cost estimates, manage budgets, and ensure projects remain within financial limits.

  • Tendering & Procurement – Prepare tender documents, assess bids, and manage procurement to secure value for money.

  • Contract Administration – Oversee contract compliance, manage variations, and handle claims.

  • Valuations & Payments – Prepare interim valuations, monitor site progress, and agree final accounts with clients and subcontractors.

  • Cost Control & Reporting – Track project costs, provide financial reports, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

  • Risk Management – Assess financial risks, advise on mitigation strategies, and ensure compliance with safety and housing regulations.

  • Client & Stakeholder Liaison – Maintain communication with clients, tenants, and stakeholders on financial matters.

  • Change Management – Evaluate cost implications of changes, manage approvals, and update budgets accordingly.
