Our client is currently seeking an experienced Interim Head of Service with a strong background in highways to join a dynamic team. This role is crucial in overseeing and managing the comprehensive delivery of highway services in the Royal Borough of Kingston-upon-Thames.
Key Responsibilities:
- Providing strategic leadership and management of the highway services
- Ensuring the efficient delivery of highway maintenance, improvement projects, and safety initiatives
- Developing and implementing policies, procedures, and programmes related to highway operations
- Managing budgets and resources to ensure cost-effective service delivery
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to achieve service objectives
- Monitoring service performance and implementing improvement plans as necessary
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and standards
- Communicating effectively with the public, elected members, and partner organisations
Job Requirements:
- Experience in highway services management and operations
- Strong knowledge of highway policies, procedures, and best practices
