The Client:

A prestigious UK Independent School is looking for an organised and proactive term-time Receptionist to serve as the friendly first point of contact for students, parents and visitors.

The Role:

The Receptionist is responsible for all front-of-house matters, as well as assisting with administrative tasks. Duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Answer telephone calls and handle general inquiries
  • Greet and sign in visitors, providing health and safety briefings
  • Maintain and track pupil attendance records, reporting concerns
  • Handle deliveries, post distribution, and lost property management
  • Provide administrative support for events, meetings, and school functions
  • Assist with admissions, including Open Days and assessment processes
  • Ensure photocopiers are stocked and operational for staff use
  • Report and coordinate maintenance issues with the Estates team
  • Oversee and update school display boards, ensuring consistency
  • Create and manage whole-school signage and display materials

The Candidate:

  • Be a welcoming and friendly face to all
  • Highly organised with the ability to prioritise effectively
  • Professional and discrete
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Understanding of Data Protection, confidentiality, and safeguarding
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
