Job Title: Supervisor

Location:Ladurée Stores / Coffee Shops

Reports to: Assistant Manager / Store Manager/ Head of Retail

Ladurée is a globally renowned French patisserie, famous for its iconic Macarons and elegant dining experience. With over 100 locations in 17 countries, we continue to expand, including 12 boutiques in the UK, 10 of which are in London.

We are looking for a dedicated Supervisor to join our team at Ladurée Covent Garden, where you will play a key role in delivering exceptional customer service and maintaining our high standards. This role requires a strong team player, adaptable and proactive, who thrives in a fast-paced environment.

As a brand ambassador, you will create a welcoming atmosphere for guests while supporting Managers in the daily operations of the boutique, café, and restaurant. You will lead and inspire a team of Waiters, Commis Waiters, Bartenders, and Receptionist to ensure a seamless luxury experience that reflects Ladurées world-class reputation.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership and Team Support

Supervise and support Front of House staff, ensuring high service standards.

Provide on-the-job coaching and training to maintain performance excellence.

Foster a positive, team-oriented work environment, encouraging collaboration and morale.

Assist in managing shift schedules, ensuring appropriate staffing levels.

Lead by example, maintaining a professional appearance and attitude.

Customer Experience & Service Excellence

Ensure guests receive warm, welcoming, and impeccable service.

Address customer queries, complaints, and special requests efficiently and professionally.

Maintain a visible presence on the floor, assisting with service when necessary.

Uphold Ladurées luxury standards in hospitality, etiquette, and service presentation.

Sales and Upselling

  • Drive sales and promote upselling and cross-selling within the team, emphasizing seasonal or limited-edition products.
  • Work closely with the Boutique Manager to meet or exceed individual and team sales targets.
  • Monitor team performance and suggest strategies to enhance customer engagement and boost sales.
  • Assist with transaction oversight, ensuring accurate processing of payments and order handling.

Operational Duties

  • Oversee the smooth running of restaurant shifts, ensuring all areas are well-coordinated.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations.
  • Manage table settings, reservations, and seating arrangements efficiently.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, ambiance, and overall presentation of the restaurant.
  • Assist in handling restaurant cash, POS transactions, and end-of-day reconciliations.

Staff Training & Development

  • Conduct daily briefings and communicate any operational updates to the team.
  • Identify training needs and support the professional development of FOH staff.
  • Assist in the onboarding process of new team members, ensuring they understand Ladurées service expectations.

Sales & Upselling

  • Encourage upselling and cross-selling techniques among the team to maximise revenue.
  • Promote seasonal and specialty products to enhance guest experience.
  • Ensure team members have extensive menu knowledge, including allergens and special dietary options.

Bar & Reception Oversight

  • Supervise bartenders to ensure high-quality beverage service and presentation.
  • Oversee receptionists to ensure smooth reservation handling and guest check-in/check-out procedures.
  • Assist in managing the bar stock and ordering process, ensuring efficiency and minimal wastage

Team Collaboration and Communication

  • Foster a positive work environment, encouraging teamwork and collaboration among team members, including with the Back of the House team members.
  • Attend and participate in regular team meetings, ensuring alignment on new products, promotions, and company policies.
  • Communicate effectively with the Managers, providing updates on store activities, customer feedback, and team performance.

Key Skills and Qualifications

Experience: Minimum 1-2 years in a similar supervisory role within luxury hospitality, or high-end café environments.

Leadership: Strong ability to motivate and lead a team with confidence.

Customer Service: Passion for delivering top-tier guest experiences in a refined setting.

Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Time Management: Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.

Problem-Solving: Proactive in addressing issues and implementing effective solutions.

Knowledge of Food & Beverage: Familiarity with fine dining service standards, bar operations, and menu details.

POS & Cash Handling: Experience with point-of-sale systems and handling financial transactions.

Flexibility: Willing to work evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and peak seasons as required.
