  • Signposting young people to positive youth activities, delivering workshops in schools and in the community, reducing community tensions through detached youth work.
  • Be responsible for delivering group work programmes, deploying youth outreach initiatives, and have strong community engagement skills
  • Planning, deliver, and evaluate group work programmes. Completing detached youth outreach sessions, building and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families and community stakeholders. Identify and respond to the needs of young people, providing appropriate support and referrals
Requirements:
  • Proven experience in youth work, particularly in detached or outreach settings
  • Good understanding of the issues affecting young people and the ability to engage them effectively
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Flexibility to work during the day, evenings and weekends as required as working hours are Monday-Saturday between 12pm and 9pm at various locations across the Borough
  • Enhanced DBS
