SEN Teaching Assistant

We are recruiting for a 1:1 SEN Teaching Assistant to support a student with autism at a mainstream primary school in Brent. The role involves providing tailored, classroom-based support to help the child thrive in their learning environment.

• Provide 1:1 support for a student with autism in the classroom
• Assist with personalised learning strategies to meet the child’s needs
• Support the child in developing social, emotional, and communication skills
• Adapt classroom activities to ensure the child’s engagement and progress
• Role will be starting ASAP and will be until the end of the academic year

• Mainstream primary school in Brent with a diverse student population
• Three-form entry, promoting a collaborative and supportive teaching environment
• Strong commitment to inclusive education, ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed
• Focus on creating an engaging and stimulating curriculum for all learners
• Ongoing professional development and support for all staff members

To be considered for the role of SEN Teaching Assistant you will:

• Previous experience working with children with autism, preferably in an educational setting
• Patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to supporting individual needs.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
